Description
Good running, starting 1949 John Deere MC Crawler Tractor Dozer. Real good oil pressure, runs and drives as it should, steers good. Has a recently rebuilt carb. and has the 4-Speed transmission along with rear 550 PTO and Drawbar.
Our shop did a Full Service including an engine oil change and oil filters changed. Has new sparkle plugs and wires. It does tend to run on high throttle as the video shows so we think that is a governor issue if you want to replace that if you wish otherwise it runs good as shown. This MC does push as shown in the video for its size but not a full blade of gravel for example. (Video shows it pushing various materials).
As you may know the MC was the first construction machine to carry only the John Deere name after Deere purchased the BO Lindemann Company in Washington state in Dec., 1946. Thus was the start of John Deere's now famous Construction Equipment Division. 1949 was the first year the MC was made. So this piece of bulldozer and construction history is the 766th of the first MC's to roll off of John Deere's assembly line.
Weight with blade approx. 5,400 lbs.. U.S. Delivery available from TN for about .90 mile one-way if over 500 miles. Local / regional delivery $1-$3 per mile one-way.
We will consider trades of trac tors, construction equipment, doz ers, ski d load ers, A T Vs, U T Vs and pre-1979 cars and trucks (parked in a barn).
Financing is available with business and farm rates available 5% to 8% in general. Rates on consumer / personal equipment loans currently from 7% to 8% on good 650+ scores. We can also sometimes work with scores down to 550 at higher rates.
